A few shots from a weekend spent in Vail and then 10 hours "Raptoring" between Vail and Aspen, with a stop over in Marble and Crystal Mill.  Good times romping in the hills and catching the tail end of great color in the Colorado high country!

The shot above is telling of some of the current issues going on with Crystal Mill - the mill is on private land and there are a lot of people who go up there and some that aren't as respectful as they should be.  The road to the Mill is a County Road, but the land on either side is private.  People started taking the signs that posted the land was private, so the owners had a guy go out and paint POSTED on rocks all the way up on both sides, including this one down by the creek.  I actually like the shot above better than the one below.  The one below is kind of the obligatory, cliche shot of the place; said to be the second most photographed landmark in the state behind the Maroon Bells.  

And finally, White House Mountain, looming over Marble, near sunset.  My favorite shot from the trip ... Beautiful colors and the grandeur of the Colorado Rockies.
