As you can say, I've been on vacation from this for a while.  Well, I'd like to come back.  

This photo website and blog have been such an off-again, on-again adventure that eventually I just kind of burned out on posting, because I really didn’t have a vision of what I wanted it to be, what I wanted to show, who I wanted to care. But when I was into it, I was into it, and maybe that’s all that matters.

I’m not here to sell my photos. I’m not really here to promote my photos, as it were, but just to show my photos. I just like shooting and trying to tell a short story here or there. They might be from an international trip or the backyard. Both are equally important and form what my story is and, as much or more importantly, what my family’s story is as I am but a part of it.

So I endeavor again to put pixels to screen on a somewhat routine basis. At the end of the day maybe it all comes back to why I bought my first DSLR, right around the time our daughter was born - to document her life and ours as the adventure came our way.

So paradoxically I start here with these words, but no photo to post.  I want to start fresh, and I want to shoot with a renewed sense of what I'm shooting for, how to tell the stories here.  I'll be updating my home page as well to bring newer content in.  I'm hoping to streamline my process of updating this site through my new workflow on my iPad and dropping photos from my camera to it via wifi instead of the whole hard cable world in which this site started.  We'll see. if it works, but I appreciate you hanging with me.
